Prof. Christel Adick

Prof. Christel Adick specialises on comparative education and has written numerous books on formal and informal education in African countries both during colonialism and today. She currently heads the Pedagogic Institute at the University of Bochum in Germany. She publishes in german, english and french and is member of a number associations and research groups, including the "Comparative and International Education Society", the "Association of Africanists in Germany", the "Paulo Freire Society in Germany", etc. Her publications mainly focus on the imposition and universalisation of the colonial education model and the African desire of emancipation.

  Kolyang Dina Taiwé
Dr. Kolyang Dina Taiwé has taught several years at the University of Bremen in Germany before joining the University of Ngaoundéré in Cameroon in Octobre 1999. Besides teaching informatics, he also publishes novels, poems, short stories both in Tpuri language, in french, english and german. Dr. Kolyang is also the initiator of the NGO SAARE in Guider, North Cameroon and has published several revues, including Kaarang et Palabres.
Jean-Yves Loude
Dr. Jean-Yves Loude originally is from Lyon in France. Yet, Jean-Yves Loude is constantly travelling. Both his travels and his subsequent writings are dedicated to real and authentic cross-cultural encounters between human beings. He has writen several anthropological books, youth novels, novels and travel accounts, including "Le Roi d'Afrique et la Reine Mer", "Le coureur dans la brûme", "Cap Vert, Notes Atlantiques", "Lisbon - Dans la ville noire" and also "Dialogues en Noir et Blanc", correspondences with Prof. Kum' a Ndumbe III. He also is a free-lance radio, music and TV producer. He supports AfricAvenir's work since the very beginnings.

 

 

André Senga
André Senga is a founding member of AfricAvenir. Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'électronique et de ses applications (ENSEA) in Paris, he today is engineer at DYNETCOM in Paris and is responsible for major computer networks. Always interested by the question of approprite technology for Africa, André Senga has supported AfricAvenir and its effort from the very beginning.

Prince Kum' a Ndumbe III (Executive Director)

Professor Kum'a Ndumbe III is a “cultural bridge-builder.” His entire life has been devoted to the fostering of peaceful and more equal and respectful relations between Africa and Europe. It has thus also been a life devoted to the uplifting and rehabilitation of Africa and African culture and history. [Read more]

  Toubé Ebénézer
Toubé Ebénézer also is a founding member of AfricAvenir Douala. Before joining MAGZI (Mission d'Aménagement des Zones Industrielles) Toubé Ebénézer has been teacher for many years. Today, he heads technical and commercial departments of MAGZI in Yaoundé. Always interested in development initiatives, Toubé Ebénézer has supported AfricAvenir's efforts from the very beginning and continues to do so.
